First Timothy 4:1 in the King James Version of the Bible contains a warning from the apostle Paul about the doctrine of devils. In this passage, Paul cautions Timothy that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

The devil, also known as Satan, is the father of lies and the prince of darkness. He seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and his goal is to lead people away from God. The doctrine of devils is one of his primary tools to accomplish this goal.
Paul warns Timothy that in the latter times, some will depart from the faith and embrace the doctrine of devils. Some examples of false teachings include the prosperity gospel, which teaches that God wants us to be wealthy and successful in this life, or the idea that there are many paths to God, which contradicts the exclusive claims of Christianity.
As Christians, we must be vigilant in guarding against the doctrine of devils. We must test all teachings against the truth of God’s Word and be discerning in what we accept as true. We must also be aware of the tactics of the devil, who seeks to deceive and lead us astray.
Ultimately, the doctrine of devils leads to spiritual death and separation from God. We must cling to the truth of God’s Word and resist the lies and deceptions of the devil. As Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We must put on the full armour of God and stand firm in our faith, knowing that Christ has already won the victory over the devil and his demons.
